Realization of the Real Gender of Our Kittens

I have been posting photos of our cats especially the kitten photos. All this time we thought that our kittens were both females and I just recently discovered that it was a mistake!

They adopted us with the initiative of their mama cat when they were more or less a month old. Since then, I declared them both females and, named them Lulu and Lily respectively. I have no doubt then since I am not aware that it is difficult to tell the gender of the cat on its very young age.

That is why even I can see something is strange about their sensitive part, I just thought it was still female and jut looks a bit different cause there were still small kittens. But now, I can clearly see their developments and yes I am wrong, they are both males. I am still in a bit of a surprised state as I really did not see it will turned out to be like that. They already know their names and I think they would not mind being called with a girly name. Funny for me that now I know they are males, I could see the "male" characteristics or features on them now when I look at them which I cannot seem to see on them before.

Their names will be spelled differently now since they are really male cats. Lulu should be Lou-Lou and Lily should be Lee-Lee. Or simply just Lou and Lee. 😊

Oh my goodness, still can scratch my head realizing that I was wrong all this time. So because of this, I did a research online on how the gender of the cats can be determined even on their young age. It is too late for me to do this research but it will still be a knowledge which can be of good use someday. While researching, I found out that it is really not easy to determine the gender of a cat on its early age.

I found this video below that gives hints or tips on how to determine the gender of the kittens. I think that this is really helpful and give me the thought that better not to name the cat so early without being sure yet of the gender. It is because as it was said there, it is embarrassing to name the cat Samantha when it should really be Sam. 😊😊😊
