Maw the Black Cat Suddenly Died Today

My heart is so heavy writing this right now but I think it is the best time to do it in memory of our cat.

He crossed the rainbow bridge this morning at around 8AM. It was shocking cause I did not noticed him ill as he did not had an appetite loss.  He seemed normal these past days even after his neuter surgery and anti rabies shot last Thursday.

He ate dinner and some treats last night. I have noticed him laying inside the cat cage last night which was the only weird thing I observed cause he did not like getting in there. I even asked Maw if he suddenly like to sleep in there and I just ignored it cause he later came out and sleep in another area of my room.

Early this morning when I went to the kitchen, Maw did not followed me together with the other cats and that was strange. So I called him and he did not show up. I started looking for him and thought he got out of my room but he was not as I got back to my room, I saw him lying in there deep breathing.

I got nervous and calling his name thinking what happened, what was wrong.  I put him in a mat and then getting ready to bring him in the vet but it was too late. He grasp his last breath and so hard to see him in pain and passed away.  It was so sudden and hard to accept.

I called the vet who did the neuter surgery on him and his assistant answered. I told her what happened, she asked when he was neutered and some symptoms or what happened.  Then she told me that she will call me back after asking the doctor. She called me back and told me that it could not be because of the procedure and the anti rabies shot because it was 6 days ago already and the symptoms did not lead to those procedures as the cause of death.

She told me that the doctor suspected that it could be poisoning which is another puzzle to me as where did he ate or got poisoned as he was mostly just indoor and around our compound. They suggested me to get our cat autopsied by another vet to know the real cause and get fair results. But it was not my option. Aside from I do not want our Maw to get dissected, it will not bring him to life anymore.

So sad, he is just a year old and a very lively sweet cat. Praying to God in welcoming him in heaven together with our other fur babies who are in there already. Maw, thanks for your love and life with us.

The two kittens will miss him as they cuddled him, not aware that Maw is already gone in the photos below. I have posted lots of their photos together in my cat challenge posts and Maw is like a father and a great buddy for the kittens.

Made these photos black and white cause I think it will be better represented that way. Their patterns or spots will be clearly seen in these photos. The two kittens are just staying in there facing the door. Just enjoying the day together.

Tamtam the Puppy With the Cats

Today I will be posting some photos of our Tamtam the puppy together with the cats of course since this is a cat photos challenge. :D

Tamtam enjoyed eating some treats together with the cats and good thing they did not fight each other. They just eat as fast as they can to be able to get the most of the treats. :D

Maw and Lulu Tandem

Today, it will be photos of Lulu the kitten with Maw the black cat. They are good tandem as well as they also enjoy sleeping and playing together.

Maldita with Lily and Lulu

Today I would like to share some photos of the mama cat with her two babies Lily and Lulu.
These photos were taken before the mama cat was spayed. It is nice to see them together just sitting in there and probably waiting for their treats. :D

Maw the Black Cat Got Neutered Today!

After Maldita tha mama cat got spayed yesterday, Maw got neutered today.

I really need to get them spayed and neutered as it is already a mating season for them and we cannot afford to get more cats in the household as we already have five. Also hard to see the female cat be surrounded by the male cats in the neighborhood and she cannot even eat being chased.

I brought Maw early today at around 8PM to the veterinary clinic. Then just like what I did to Maldita, I left him there and just went back in the afternoon. I got Maw and was able to go home earlier than yesterday.

One of the Cats Got Spayed Yesterday!

I got too busy yesterday because I brought Maldita the mama cat to the veterinary office. It was her schedule yesterday to get spayed. I brought her in the morning as early as 7AM to avoid the traffic. :)

Then, I just returned to the vet office at around 3PM and wait until she was done and quite awake. I was able to brought her home at around 7PM cause of hard to commute. We are both stressed, of course more to her, but at least I know in the end that it was worth it. She will be safe from the male cats around the neighborhood. It is also said that it is healthy for a cat to get spayed or neutered. :)

Mimi Playing

Mimi the cat still love to play even she is more than 3 years old already. :D
She will even give me hints that she wants to play like by scratching our door or bugging me while using the computer. She likes ribbon and/or anything that she can catch while being moved like her prey. It is always nice to watch her play and she her happy face.:D

Maw and Lulu also enjoy being together whether sleeping or awake playing. Black and white photos today just like their real colors. :P

Winnie and Maw are good buddies and they sometimes play together. Nice to see them being close and just enjoying their time.
